The Duran Golf Club Course Details
Architect Chip Powell designed the first hole to be a forgiving beginning for
the round even though he dubbed it '“Long Start'. Players have five shots to
make par on the 571-yard hole.
The second hole is called '“The Coffin' because of the long and deep
bunker next to the green. Golfers are advised to keep away from this bunker on
this par-4 hole.

course was built. Appropriately, this hole is called '“Lone Palm'. Par for

name because it has no bunkers.
'“False Front' is what No. 11 is called. This par-5 hole requires some
planning to hit the ball onto the green without adding more strokes to the game.
The No. 17 is nicknamed '“Biarritz'. This par-3 hole measures 235 yards
from the Onyx and 163 from the Ruby. A Biarritz is a French name for a green
that has a deep dip in the middle that typically runs from side to side.
The final hole at the Duran is the signature hole. The par-4 dogleg left hole
makes for a long and challenging end to the round. A series of bunkers on the
fairway's right side makes the fairway look very narrow when you're standing
from the back tees.
